Weber High School
IB DIPLOMA PROGRAM COURSES
Weber High School is an IB World School authorized to offer the IB Diploma Program. The IB Diploma Program is an internationally recognized academic program that offers a superior preparation for 11th and 12th grade college-bound students, as well as the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school.

The IB Diploma Program requires that students study one course from each of the six subject groups. In addition to these six subjects, students must take Theory of Knowledge (TOK), complete the Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) requirement, and write a 4000 word extended essay (EE).

Subject groups can be studied at Higher Level (HL) or Standard Level (SL). Students must study 3-4 subjects at HL and 2-3 subjects at SL. HL courses are more demanding and must be taught over 2 years, while SL courses are less demanding (but still rigorous), they can be completed over 1 or 2 years depending on the subject matter.  Students may not complete more than 2 SL courses their junior year.
