To the Weber High community,

It is vital in public education today that we evaluate ourselves and the quality of our leadership based not on what we can simply tell, but on what we can show through implemented systems, processes, feedback, and data.

As the principal of Weber High, I am committed to measuring our school up against external and neutral evaluation and accountability frameworks. My purpose for this is to model humility and an investment in continuously and systematically improving Weber High in all the areas relevant to providing our students with the skills they need to succeed in life.

We must maintain a sense of urgency on this front for the sake of our students and their learning.

I am very happy to announce, after a long and rigorous application process, we have achieved a distinctive certification through the Marzano Network, one of the most reputable and established educational research organizations in our field. We will join a small number of schools in the state who have achieved this certification which assesses the extent to which our school culture is safe, supportive, and collaborative.

Please see the hyperlinked press release for more information on this certification: Press Release.

I am grateful every day to serve as the principal of Weber High and look forward to many more opportunities to articulate and share Weber High's excellence through our substance, and improve our school when evaluations of our work reveal the need.

Very sincerely,

Ryan Kachold
Principal
