The spirit of the Weber School District was on full display at the UCCU Center as student-athletes from across the district delivered historic performances at the 2026 Utah State Cheerleading Championships. From first-time state titles to impressive debuts, our schools proved to be a dominant force in Utah cheerleading.
Warriors Claim Historic First 6A Title
The Weber High Warriors made history on Friday night, capturing the school's first-ever 6A Coed State Championship. Under the direction of second-year coach Emma Heiner, the Warriors delivered a powerhouse performance that swept the competition.
In addition to the overall title, Weber High won first place in the Show category and secured top-three finishes in every single discipline. The victory marks a significant milestone for the program, unseating multi-year incumbents and establishing the Warriors as the new team to beat in 6A.
Fremont and West Field Shine in 5A Division
The success continued in the 5A division, where the Fremont High Silverwolves and the West Field High Longhorns both earned significant hardware.
Fremont High's All-Girl team showcased their precision and athleticism, taking home the State Runner-Up (2nd Place Overall) trophy. The Silverwolves also claimed a 1st Place finish in the highly competitive Show category, proving their status as one of the elite programs in the state.
Meanwhile, the district’s newest school, West Field High, continues to exceed expectations. In only their second year of competition, the Longhorns placed 4th Overall in the 5A All-Girl division. Their balanced performance included a 3rd place finish in Sideline Cheer and 4th place rankings in both Dance and Show categories.
