Edgenuity Day
First quarter at Weber High understood the assignment.

Walk through the halls of Warrior Country and you’ll see it EVERYWHERE—students asking questions, solving problems, creating, collaborating, experimenting, reading, writing, building, performing, and pushing themselves to do hard things.

And behind every one of those moments? Incredible educators creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and discover what they’re capable of.

The grades matter. The assignments matter. But some of the BEST learning happening at Weber High can’t be measured by a score.

It’s confidence gained.
Skills developed.
Questions asked.
Mistakes made.
Problems solved.
Connections built.
And those little “I GOT IT!” moments that make it all worth it.

First quarter, you’ve been GOOD to us so far.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep showing up.

Warriors are just getting started.

Heroes don’t always wear capes… sometimes they roll up their sleeves.

Huge shoutout to our Warriors who stepped up during our school blood drive to give back, help save lives, and put others first.

A little courage. A little time. A BIG impact.

That’s what being a Warrior is all about.

CENTENNIAL PARADE REMINDER!

Warrior Family, one of the BIGGEST celebrations of Weber High’s 100th year is almost here! Join us for the Homecoming Centennial Parade and help us celebrate a full century of Weber High history, tradition, and Warrior pride.

Thursday, September 17
6:30 PM

REMEMBER: We have a NEW PARADE ROUTE this year due to construction, and our last post had some errors! Here is the correct route!

The parade will begin on 3100 North and 425 East. Then head west back to Weber High School

We will NOT be starting at the church building at 3100 North and 575 East this year.

And this isn’t your average Homecoming Parade! In honor of Weber High’s CENTENNIAL, we’ll have special floats commemorating 100 YEARS of Warriors. We’d love to see students, families, alumni, and members of our community lining the route and celebrating with us!

Wear your RED + BLACK, find your spot along the route, and come be part of Weber High history.

100 YEARS. GENERATIONS OF WARRIORS. ONE INCREDIBLE CENTENNIAL.

This is a BIG deal for our Warrior Family!

Every six years, schools go through a rigorous self-evaluation process—and Weber High didn’t just earn accreditation… we earned ACCREDITATION WITH MERIT!

That distinction means Weber High stands out for the strong processes and practices we have in place to keep learning, improving, and making our school better year after year.

In other words? We don’t settle for “good enough.” We’re continually looking for ways to be BETTER for our students, our staff, and our entire Warrior community.

Accredited with Merit. Warrior proud. And always moving forward.

Today, we remember.

September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. We honor the lives that were lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the first responders who sacrificed so much, and the countless families whose lives were forever changed.

But we also remember what came AFTER.

We remember a nation that stood together. Neighbors helping neighbors. Strangers becoming family. Ordinary people showing extraordinary courage, compassion, and unity.

25 years later, their stories still matter. Their sacrifice still matters. And our responsibility to remember still matters.

Today, may we choose a little more kindness. A little more courage. A little more unity.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

It’s time for an Educator in Action spotlight!

Meet Lynn Correa, one of the incredible educators making a difference at Weber High every single day.

With 18 years of teaching experience, Lynn teaches Math 3, Math 3 QL, and Math 1030—and her favorite part of the job is exactly what you’d hope to hear: the students. She loves helping them build skills, find confidence, overcome hard things, and ultimately be successful.

Her teacher tip? Keep everyone in the loop! Lynn sends students AND parents an upcoming two-week schedule so expectations are clear and students can plan ahead.

And when she’s not teaching math? You might find her singing, playing the piano, speaking one of the three languages she’s studied, or working on a house project. Apparently she’ll paint all day… just don’t ask her to drywall.

Organized. Strategic. Student-focused. And an important part of what makes Weber High such a great place to learn.

We’re lucky to have you, Mrs. Correa!

WARRIORS… consider this your game plan for making this year COUNT!

Whether you’re a sophomore figuring out high school, a junior starting to think seriously about what comes next, or a senior wondering HOW graduation got this close—we’ve got you.

SOPHOMORES: Build the habits. Challenge yourself. GET INVOLVED.

JUNIORS: Focus on your academics, start planning for college and careers, prep for the ACT, and stay connected.

SENIORS: Stay on top of deadlines, applications, scholarships and all the important details…but don’t get so focused on what’s NEXT that you forget to enjoy what’s happening RIGHT NOW.

Join the club. Go to the game. Ask for help. Meet with your counselor. Try something new. Make the memories.

You only get ONE sophomore year. ONE junior year. ONE senior year.

MAKE. IT. COUNT.

And remember—Weber High Counseling is here to help you every step of the way.

WHAT MAKES A TERRIFIC TEACHER? And just as importantly… what makes a TERRIFIC STUDENT?

One of our teachers kicked off the year by putting the question straight into the hands of her students.

Armed with sticky notes, students filled the board with their own ideas about what a terrific teacher IS, DOES, SAYS, and DOES NOT do.

But why stop there?

Students flipped the question and defined what a terrific STUDENT looks like, too.

The result? A classroom culture built on shared expectations, mutual respect, and student voice—not just a list of rules handed out on day one.

The best part? These aren’t the teacher’s words. They’re THEIR words.

Because great classrooms don’t just happen. Teachers and students build them TOGETHER.

That’s how we do it in Warrior Territory!
